A couple of residents have spoken on the DH Facebook page about concerns over increased crime in the village and the fact that the police do not seem to patrol our streets often enough.
Local police are advising all Dickens Heath residents to take the time to report any suspicious or criminal activity as it will help to build up a case for an increased police presence in the village.
Don’t forget, keep doors locked (house, car, garage), don’t leave windows open (possibly advice more for summer weather!!) or expensive kit on display – and keep your eyes open for anything suspicious.
If there is an emergency, always call 999. For police purposes, an emergency is when:
- There is a danger to life
- There is a risk of serious injury
- A crime is in progress or about to happen
- An offender is still at the scene
But if your call is not an emergency, you can contact your local police station via the service desk switchboard on 0345 113 5000

Let’s work together to keep our village safe from crime.
There were a couple of car break ins on Saturday night. 4 men were seen walking up and down drives at around 2am, trying all the car doors. This was around the Redrow canal end of the village.
