We’ve got a Marquee!

June 2, 2012 By DH.net

Think Glastonbury. Think indomitable British spirit. Think blind optimism and no-one’s-going-to-spoil-our-fun kind of obstinacy. Just in case the forecast doesn’t improve, the Jubilee party goes ahead tomorrow come rain or shine!

We’ve got an 18m x 9m marquee organised with carpets for picnic-ers plus some gazebos. Please bring any more gazebos you have too.

The committee are hoping as many residents as possible will don wellies and macs and dance in the rain. For those of a more sensitive disposition some activities will probably be transferred to the village hall. Coffee Cloud, Morton’s, The Chalice, Cre8, Ice Hair and Beauty will all be open, as will Tescos…and there will be as many gazebos, tents and brollies as we can muster – please bring any you have to the green as early as possible.

And if the forecast changes and the sun shines. Well that’s just a bonus!
