DH.net has just been made aware of a proposal, to be discussed at Solihull Council on Thursday (1st November), to restrict parking over the edges of verges and pavements within the whole of Dickens Heath area, as a pilot scheme, with fines payable under Civil Enforcement Powers for those who contravene the restrictions.
Fines proposed to be £70, or £35 for prompt payment.
The proposals are subject to public consultation early next year, we understand, with the scheme planned for introduction in April.
But although we will have a chance to air views at the consultation, it is important that the village makes its views known about these proposals at the earliest opportunity, given the ongoing concerns being voiced around the issue of parking in Dickens Heath.
Please share your views either below or on Facebook so that we can build up a clear picture of what Dickens Heath thinks of these proposals and we can pass these to our Parish and Borough Councillors.
