Shine – a tribute to Aoife O’Connor – 2nd Feb 2.30pm

love2dance-black-logoAs many DH.net readers know Aoife O’Connor, from our village, sadly lost her battle to overcome a brain tumour in October 2012 and passed away at the age of 14.  Since she died, a series events by Aoife’s friends and family have helped raise over £16,500 to fight brain tumours. A new event at Lighthall School in February is set to boost that total further.

One of Aoife’s many passions was dance. Naomi Lane from Love2dance where Aoife and her sisters learned to dance says:

“Aoife was a fun loving, kind and wonderful dancer who bought light into everyone’s life. She was a star shining on the stage with her infectious smile.”

In return for the support they received from the O’Connor family Naomi and the team at Love2dance are putting on the show ‘Shine’ in the memory of Aoife. This will help boost the already extraordinary fundraising total acheived by Aoife’s friends and family on Just Giving.

The show is at Lighthall school on Saturday 2nd Febuary 2013 at 2.30pm.

Entrance fee is £4 and all proceeds are going to Brain Tumour UK to help them reach a breakthrough in their research to fight this terrible disease.

Please contact Naomi Lane at Love2dance on 07812998319 for more information.
