Something for both the kids and parents this Easter…
A new comedy Festival for Solihull has been announced today. Called LOLIHULL – it takes place from 6th-13th April 2013 and includes Edinburgh Festival Best Newcomer-nominated Joe Lycett; the “inventive rebooting of physical comedy” from the Boy with Tape on His Face; the master of the one-liner (and Sarah Millican’s boyfriend) Gary Delaney, Janice Connolly’s brilliant middle-aged housewife Barbara Nice and three performances of Festival Patron Jasper Carrott’s hugely popular Made in Brum show.
There will also be a Barnstormers Comedy evening, stand-up workshops for budding comedians, a Poetry Slam competition, story-telling for young children and more events to be announced.
This also looks good – a comedy club for kids on 9th April. Proper stand up comedians but no rude bits or swearing!
Dh.net understands that a Festivals website is coming soon – but in the meantime Visit Solihull on Facebook is probably the best place to go for more details on what’s happening or to book tickets go to the Arts Complex website.
