Solihull Council (SMBC) proposes to introduce parking restrictions in Dickens Heath Village – to address villagers’ concerns about dangerous and inappropriate parking.
The proposals include double yellow lines at key points around the village and a zonal ban on pavement and grass verge parking.
An informal consultation has gone live today on the Solihull MBC website – click here.
In addition, there will be an exhibition at Dickens Heath Library, which will run until 22nd March. Large red and white temporary signs have been erected at key routes into the village, advising passing motorists of the consultation.
Just over 2,000 letters will be delivered to all directly affected frontages with the Dickens Heath Village Directory this weekend.

I use this route to travel to work every day and I support the parking restrictions especially around the junction with Hensborough, which is particularly difficult to navigate when there is a car parked on the adjacent corner.
