Solihull (Dickens Heath) Pop Chorus debuts at Dorridge Christmas Lights!

November 25, 2013 By DH.net

Solihull Pop Chorus made its maiden performance at the Dorridge Christmas lights switch on tonight, belting out ‘Let it Snow’, ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’ and ‘Fairytale of New York’ before Father Christmas switched on the lights.

he Pop Chorus  rehearses every Monday at Dickens Heath Parish Rooms and includes quite a number of Heathans as members – many of whom have never sung in a choir before before. The song list is resolutely pop classics with ‘California Dreaming’, Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’ and Take That’s ‘Rule the World’ amongst the current repetoire. It’s great fun, and is run by Anya Small who also runs Solihull Pop School which quite a few Dickens Heath School children attend.

The choir’s next performance is at The Poison Chalice on Monday 16th December for a Christmas singalong. Come and see the choir in action and you never know, you might fancy filling one of the 7 spaces left before the choir is completely full!
