Are you interested in becoming a Parish Councillor?

March 3, 2015 By DH.net

The Elections in May 2015 are fast approaching, and there will  be 7 positions on the Parish Council instead of 5. So Dickens Heath will need some new councillors.

Coat-of-Arms-JPEG-254x300Parish Councillors represent their local community, and work to improve the quality of life in the village. During the term of this Parish Council, for example, we have seen the introduction of hanging baskets and flower boxes, a village handyman picking up litter, solar Christmas trees, the establishment of a youth club, Remembrance service and carol singing in the village centre.

Anyone aged 18 or over may be able to stand as a Parish Councillor.
