Parking issues behind Morton’s – tell the council your views

February 5, 2016 By DH.net

A meeting held between Solihull planners and the D.H.R.A.G. sub committee was held to discuss the obstructions on car parking spaces at the back of Mortons. The sub committee believe these obstructions to be in breach of planning condition 24 of application 2002/2475

The condition states:-

As the individual areas of car parking become available they shall be maintained free of obstruction for their intended purpose throughout the lifetime of the development.
The planners have suggested that this condition has not been breached as the spaces are still car parking spaces! This is obviously ridiculous as it means that Solihull planners have allowed a development of retail shops and residential homes with potentially no access to parking.
Please read THIS FILE and email the planners with your views.
Please circulate the file to as many people as you can and ask them to email Solihull planning with their objections to the recent restrictions in parking in the village. If enough people do this the matter can be resolved without having to resort to a legal process.
