Please can people stop driving along Gorcott Lane and honking their horns in anger. The people that can’t park and have blocked the road can’t hear you as they live on the other side of Garden Squares.
As you have secure parking at Garden Squares – Why on earth don’t you use it!
I have been informed that Gorcott Lane is about to adopted by the Council and that they plan to make Gorcott Lane – One Way and all Double Yellow. I just hope they extend it to Roundabout too. When I passed my driving test it definately said something in Highway Code about not parking within a certain distance of a roundabout. I admit I don’t think it actually says anything about parking around it though – But please, a little common sense.
On another note and maybe a solution – let’s get someone to open up the underground carparking under the building site. Then maybe they could fill in the footings and turn this into another park area too. Another grass area, another play ground for the kids, carparking for Dickens Heath doubled, which would equate to – A pleasant village for all to enjoy and an increase in house prices!
