GuestDear Councils, Residents and Visitors to Dickens Heath Village.
There is an accident waiting to happen in Dickens Heath. Will it take a fatality or a serious injury before the various management committees and the Council that runs Dickens Heath takes action?
1) Clients of the Poison Chalice parking outside in both Main Street and Gorcott Lane especially the Huge 4 x 4’s and people carriers are making it so difficult to see on-coming vehicles in either direction.
2) People parking on the kerb in Main Street, some of them are owners and/or employees of the companies operating out of Main Street. This means only one vehicle can travel up or down Main Street at a time.
3) People are also increasingly parking on Traffic Islands with some of them being blind corners.Again an accident is waiting to happen.
4) Outside the council offices in particular, their clients who use the learning centre and other activities, you can see cars parked on the double yellow lines for hours at a time, even on weekends. Do the council not like to take action against their own clients? It now causes vans like “Askeys” to park front ways in and so leaves a very tiny gap to pass through and create havoc on a weekend with vehicle horns sound off at all hours because of the blocked roads.
Regarding our fellow Residents of Dickens Heath Village, there are also too many cars parked long term, day and night on the side roads. These residents have been assigned car park spaces in both the underground car parks and gated areas. But I guess our fellow residents are just too plain lazy to park there
Come on Local Councils get your act together and sort these issues out now. Before someone accidentally gets hurt or worse still a child gets knocked down…
Kind Regards
Samjo
